Dr Robert DiGregorio has volunteered to answer questions for the members and guests of the National Pigeon Association.

Note: please restrict your questions to health related subjects.

The Doctor is not involved with the locating of lost pigeons, nor does he provide any advice regarding the control of feral pigeons or any other non-medical questions!

Please answer these questions before contacting Dr. Robert DiGregorio. The more details that you can give him the better. Simply cut and paste the questions and your answers to your e-mail inquiry.

  1. Are you a member of the National Pigeon Association?
  2. Please describe all the symptoms as precisely as possible.
  3. The duration of the symptoms (How long has the pigeon been sick?
  4. What, if any, treatments or medications have you given the pigeon.
  5. What medications and or vitamins to you use routinely (daily, weekly)?
  6. What preventative medicine measures, if any, do you use? (worming, etc.)
  7. Do you vaccinate for PMV-1, etc.? If so, how often and date of last vaccines given.
  8. What variety of pigeon is it?
  9. Do you feed grains or pellets?
  10. Do you feed grit?
  11. How long have you raised pigeons?
